The whole office is wonderful! Very clean and tidy place, with a friendly and competent staff. My #1 criteria for a Dentist is the Hygienist - Kim was recommended, so that's where I went, and she is fabulous - great touch and demeanor, never in a hurry, thus never causing discomfort . I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Mahlin and his staff. They are professional, yet personable. I never forget the first time I met Dr. Mahlin. He came out of his office sat on the chair in the waiting room and talked to me and my daughter for long time. I was impressed. I haven’t had the pleasure meeting all the staff but Kim, Jerri, Pat and Caleb are simply the best. They are kind, friendly and courteous. They always welcome us with a smile. I know Kim for many years and she does amazing job cleaning my teeth. She is sweet, caring and gives me good advice.

I'm going to be 100% honest with this review. I have been to a dental office 4 times in my entire life due to fears and anxieties, and PTSD with injections. I've chosen a new dental office each time I needed work due to issues with previous plqces. From the front office team - Lynne and Caleb (my spelling my be wrong) to Kim and Dr. Mahlin, the entire appointment from start to finish was a relief, a breath of fresh air and extremely calming. My fears aside, I suffered with embarrassment from the state of my teeth. I kept pushing my appointment until I started having regular discomfort. They all took it easy for me, described every step they took, the issues with my teeth without being judgmental at all, and honestly took away all embarrassment I had with the state of my teeth. Key words: NO JUDGMENT. I didn't feel "scolded" as other dental offices made me feel. Rather, they felt like being around family or close friends. They talked me through every single step before they did it, and when things caused any discomfort (I have a super sensitive mouth, gums and teeth), they immediately stopped and found a more comfortable route to me. They didn't make me feel embarrassed or ashamed by my life choices (smoking, never floss, Dr. Peppers all day). They, of course, provided options to help and information they are required to disclose, but not in a way that made me feel "less than." This is now my go to dentist, and they are stuck with me as a patient!

It’s been a little while since I’ve commented, and I wanted to mention my wonderful dental hygienist Kim. Kim is so much more than her title as she is the orbit of my oral health care. Kim uses her professional skills to provide me with the best care, from routine cleanings to meticulous maintenance of my overall care plan. I’m always greeted with a smile at every appointment, and Kim always makes sure I’m comfortable during my time in her chair. Kim is kind, compassionate, encouraging, and caring. I always get good feedback on how I’m doing, or what needs my attention between appointments for example.

Dr. Mahlin and his staff are absolutely wonderful! His bedside manner is among the best, if not the best, when it comes to compassionate, patient-centered care. He even called me after I had a new crown placed just to see how I was doing. He's thoughtful, gentle (both as a person and as a dentist), and most importantly is excellent at dentistry! His staff couldn't be friendlier or more accomodating and I have never had a long wait in the waiting room. I would give him 10 stars if this rating scale allowed it!

I have always had a bad experience at the dentist to the point of I stopped going unless a emergency. Well of course I had unbearable tooth pain only problem was Dr. wasn't in the office. Caleb was amazing, kind and helpful from the moment he answered the phone but I was trying to get in asap. I hung up and Caleb sent me a text if I couldn't find someone sooner or needed anything to call back. I called a few other places but something kept telling me to go there. I'm so glad I did! Everyone was amazing didn't get upset or rush me when I cried from just walking in the door or sitting in the chair. They walked me through everything and made sure I was always comfortable. I love this place. I used to be ashamed of my smile. When I first came to Clarkson Dental Group, I had been rarely, if ever, brushing or caring for my teeth, holding my lips together when I smiled, and not seeing a dentist for at least 12 years--I was terrified to hear how bad it was, and had accepted the idea that they'd fall out one day. When I dragged myself in to see Dr. Mahlin, tail between my legs, they gave me the news: "It's really not too bad, we'll have to do a deep clean, maybe put in a few fillings, we'll get you all fixed up!" Sure enough, Kim did an excellent job getting my teeth and gums looking and feeling great again in no time! I can't put in to words how much a proud smile can restore your confidence. Front desk is always efficient and so very friendly. Have had the same hygienist for years, who I absolutely adore! She worked with my boys when they were little and still asks about them now that they are grown and have moved to other states. I trust Dr Mahlin and his staff to care for me and my family. I’m never a fan of going to the dentist, but I honestly don’t mind going to see Dr. Mahlin and his team. Ever since Dr. Boyle was there (whom I greatly enjoyed), I have had wonderful experiences with the team at Clarkson Dental. It’s odd that I seem to know everyone’s name. It starts with Jerri... always greeting with pleasant banter when I come in for my 7:00am appointments, even on Mondays. Kim is my hygienist, and she does a wonderful, thorough job while being gentle as a lamb. Pat help Dr. Mahlin with a recent crown I had put in, and she kept it lighthearted and fun, and was a tremendous partner to Dr. Mahlin. Caleb proudly takes my money and manages to laugh at my stupid jokes. I recently met Lauren and she’s as fun and pleasant as the rest. So basically... it’s not like getting a root canal when you work with this team. Oh, and Dr. Mahlin is pretty good himself. He provides sound advice, let’s you know what to expect, and gives you some options. Great team! Even though I really don’t enjoy going to the dentist.

Several weeks ago I reached the unfortunate conclusion that it was time to depart with one of my rear molars per ongoing issue. On my call in to Clarkson Dental, Caleb was most concerned and after assuring him it was not an emergency, still ensured I got the first available appointment for an extraction. On the day of my appointment Dr. Mahlin performed a pain free extraction providing narrative during the process so I understood what was occurring throughout. I am impressed that I experienced no pain even after the local anesthetic wore off, and of course most appreciative of the follow up call I received from Dr. Mahlin himself!
Finally, the person who brought me to “the chair” and assisted with my extraction, Kasey. I doubt anyone looks forward to a tooth pull, but Kasey immediately put me at ease with her wit and charm. During the procedure, Kasey assisted Dr. Mahlin with what I felt perfect synchronicity, then afterward made sure I understood steps I need to follow post op and that I had everything I needed. Start to finish, I always feel well cared for at Clarkson Dental.

October 3, 2023 and another great visit with Clarkson Dental Group. As expected, Kim did a great job taking many x-rays of my mouth. I have four implant post that my partial snaps on and the x-rays can check all angles. Dr. Mahlin gave me a "looking good" after checking my entire mouth. When my previous dentist decided to consolidate his practice, the office I had gone to was closed and the new location would have doubled my driving distance. Two members of my family use Clarkson Dental Group and are very pleased with the care and services they receive. Its location is less than two miles from my home in a commercial complex that I frequent regularly. As a new patient, I was asked to complete a very detailed online medical questionnaire. It was a reminder that one's health issues may relate to good dental care. So, when I arrived for my 7:00 a.m. appointment, the staff was ready for me. Beginning with the dental hygienist, Kim, a complete set of x-ray film was taken followed by the most thorough cleaning I have ever had. This was in preparation for an exam by Scott, the dentist. I appreciate professionals who are detail oriented, and the Clarkson Dental Group certainly meets that standard.
